Victoria Bitter
For the longest time my manager and I have been on a quest to find Victoria Bitter (the real way you say beer in Australia, despite what the false advertising would have you believe) in the USA and until now have always ended up out of luck. We finally struck gold though, it’s expensive to get but damn well worth it, one case of 24 375ml cans is setting us back USD60 plus another 20 for shipping so that sounds like a lot for one case of beer compared to what you pay in a supermarket here but it still works out less than your average beer from a bar so it’s not that bad.
Right now I am eagerly awaiting a tracking number so I can track our beer’s progress from California to Texas via FedEx and hopefully we will receive it by the weekend or at least on Saturday as…
“A hard earned thirst needs a big cold beer, and the best cold beer’s VICâ€?
and
“You can get it any old how, Matter o’ fact, I got it nowâ€?
G’day,
I organise Ozzy day in the cayman islands every year and am very keen to find a distributor in the states where I can buy it. I work for an importing company with a liqor license so no worries to bring it in. Any ideas?
Cheers Watto
Try emailing the guys at http://beerfromoz.com and see if they have any VB in stock, the last time I tried emailing them though the email bounced so I’m not sure what is going on there.
I too am looking for an outlet where I can get VB in the US.
If worst comes I will have to carry it back in May.
Hello,
I was wondering if you could help me. The guy I have been dating for a while is finally turning 21. He lived in Australia for what he refers to as the best time of his life. I feel that the perfect birthday present would be to give him his favorite beer, Victoria Bitter, to drink. I am having a lot of trouble finding this beer in the US either online or in stores. Can someone help me please?
Basically it is near impossible to find over here anywhere, there was a website beerfromoz.com that could get you some on the down low at quite an expense but they no longer seem to be around. The best thing to do is just to go to a bar like the Flying Emu in Calgary up in Canada to get your VB fix, either that or fly back from Oz with some (although you may have customs trouble with that due to labeling laws).
