Got me some cowboy boots!
Well last week while we were in Fort Worth for Megan’s cousin’s wedding in the Stockyards of all places I just couldn’t help but pick up some Texas culture. I couldn’t find boots that I liked and fitted me though so I ended up buying a fancy belt and a big ole State of Texas gold/silver plated belt buckle instead to add to the black felt hat I already had from the Houston rodeo earlier this year.
Today though we headed over to Cavender’s Boots and got me a pair of these, that are made out of Kangaroo leather. I thought that was quite fitting seeing how I’m an Australian and all, now I’m just wearing them around the house in an attempt to break them in before I do any serious walking.
It is going to be such a hoot walking off the plane into Sydney airport next Sunday night with my cowboy hat, my belt buckle and my boots on, my family will definitely get a kick out of that!
