Yes I know there is one on ebay but I’ve managed to avoid ebay up till now and I’ not particularly interested in changing that fact!

Oh man I wish I knew about this before we went to Austin the wekend before last as I would have waited for it! We stank so badly of smoke after coming back from 6th street, it was rediculous!

I can’t believe how much of a fuss smokers are putting up about this, heck it may even help them quit and that is a good thing right? No hang on I bet it’s that damn Texas mentality of having their rights infringed upon like it is with breath testing for drink driving, get over yourselves already!

Okay y’all if you’re in Texas and are at all interested in cricket then drop me a line as I will be purchasing the $39.95 package to watch it online here, yes it is expensive especially for something that you can only watch online (I can’t have satellite at my apartment).

Now I just have to work out the exact dates and times the coverage is, might have to get some time off work! Oh and might have to upgrade my cable internet to make sure I have plenty of bandwidth!

EDIT: Okay the test is from Saturday 8th September through to the following Monday, the previous matches started at 9:30am GMT and Houston is GMT-5 at the moment so it looks like we are going to have some fun early mornings from about 4:30am till 11:30am or so to get our live cricket fix but I’ll be there with bells on all the same!

What the heck is going on Australia? We’re supposed one of the best sporting nations in the world! Will this be the first Ashes Tour that England wins in like forever? I sure hope not!

I am going to have to try my best to find somewhere over here that I can watch the final match though as it is shaping up to be one of the best test matches in quite a long time!

I have been procrastinating on this project for quite a while now, playing with this script and that script trying to find a good fit for what I wanted to achieve but I finally decided on Vanilla Forums to serve as the core of the site, did a little configuration and now Hip in Houston is ready for initial public consumption.

What is Hip in Houston? It is a new discussion forum that makes it quick and easy to discuss all your favorite bars & clubs in Houston. I’ve been wanting a similar forum to discuss such things myself and there just isn’t anything out there that is as quick & easy as Hip in Houston.

Plus I will never add any intrusive advertising to the site if I did ever add any advertising it would be text ads from Google adsense but I have no need to raise revenue for the project so you won’t be seeing any ads for the forseeable future!

So please stop by and help build Hip in Houston into a thriving online community.

I don’t think I have ever braved meeting up with a group of fellow geeks in such a situation before, no hang on back in the day I used to hang out with my chat buddies from Alamak (oh those were the days, weren’t they?) but I am set to do it again tomorrow at the Houston Wordpress Meetup.

So if anyone is reading this that is located near Houston then you should think about coming along!

Dogs/Just a test of the plugin.

I just upgraded to the US 2.0 version of the firmware with the new built-in web browser for my Sony PSP and I must say so far it has been a far from pleasant experience, it is so damn slow at loadi9ng and rendering pages, even their special designed for PSP site!

Also I tried downloading a video from their site (even though they only have the same old crap trailers) and it is way too difficult plus when I hit download I got a warning about a SSL certificate being expired. Come on Sony this is a brand new site, get your act together!

Now where are my downloadable game demo’s?

Okay now this has me interested, the local Houston news is running a story on how your child’s iPod could now have pornographic podcasting on it and not just music! Fancy that! Guess what people, your children can also put pornographic photo’s on their iPod (Photo models at least), oh no! Whatever are we going to do?
