I noticed the WP Cache plugin was not doing quite what I wanted and didn't get along well with some of my other plugins plus it made Safari serve the Comments page as a file to download so I've disabled/deleted everything I can think of related to the plugin but it still seems to be having an effect somehow. Maybe it is just my parent's ISP using some funky transparent caching or something trying to screw with my mind...
