iPhone (Motorola ROKR) - What is the point?

Published by jaseone at 1:07 pm under Information Technology

PROs:
1. It syncs with iTunes
2. It plays songs purchased from the iTunes store (well I hope it does)
3. It has an “iTunes application” on the phone

CONs:
1. Has a crappy display
2. Has to be synced via USB and you aren’t able to purchase songs on the fly
3. Has a crappy camera
4. Costs $250 on a 2 year contract, what about everyone that is mid way through a contract like me? Plus the phone would be a huge downgrade from my s710a anyway.
5. It looks ugly

Steve described the ROKR as like having an iPod Shuffle in your phone so why the heck didn’t they do just that? Heck why not just make the iPod Nano into a phone?
