Added a translation plugin

Published by jaseone at 11:25 am under Information Technology

I just added the Simple thoughts translation plugin as you can see on the sidebar, it of course uses machine translation though so I’m sure it isn’t precise but my multi-lingual capabilities are not very good unless you’re talking about programming langauges so if anyone speaks one of the languages included can you take a quick gander for me to see how good of a job it does so I know if it is worth keeping or not?

the translation software is mediocre at best. I checked the Italian version, and … ahem… I wouldn’t bother.
It doesn’t translate words ending in -”ing”, or words like “don’t”, and even when it more or less gets Italian words right, if they have an accent, they don’t view properly.

it is amusing- but not truly useful.
sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
    cheers,

Thanks for the heads up. :)

I was expecting that it wasn’t that good but thought I’d experiment with it to see if it was worth using in other projects as it isn’t really needed here at all.
