The Donald = The Wrong
[tag]The Apprentice[/tag]Sometimes I wonder just what goes through Trump’s head in some of these board room decisions, yes it was kind of debatable that Lenny’s idea was a little off for the commercial but as Dan said the team approved of that so you can’t blame Lenny for just putting an idea out there. The executives stated it was a hard decision and from what they were saying it was the lack of the voice over that caused Gold Rush to lose and just who was it that suggested they get rid of the text overlay and use a voice over instead? Lenny’s of course so why should have Lenny been brought into the board room again?
Dan may not have been the best project manager in the world but Tarek was the one that deserved to go, it is kind of amusing just how many geniuses lack any common sense, it kind of makes you wander if the definition of genius is a little off…
We are talking, of course, about the man who took so long to fire Brent. So it’s no surprise that Trump, even though he recognizes how toxic and unfit Tarek is for the job, won’t fire him quickly enough to satisfy us.
There were many problems with Gold Rush last night. Dan appoints himself project manager by taking charge of a meeting while everyone is still walking into the room (”If you’re in sight of the target, call it…”). His team members grouse about this, but no one reins him in and calls for a vote before things move too far. I heard a roomful of people enthusiastically agree to Lenny’s idea for the commercial, then watched the same ones turn on him when the chips were down. Leslie (?), the one who allegedly has broadcast experience, fails to speak up and fight to keep the voice-over in the end…and of all the people in that team, she’s the one who should have been jumping up and down. Instead, she says nothing then whines in the boardroom about how no one listens to her. And women wonder why more women aren’t in the highest echelons of American Big Business.
Last night, I would have fired Tarek and Dan. Or maybe Tarek and Leslie (for being such a whiny, spineless jellyfish).
